Microwave Materials Research Laboratory

A well established research and training Laboratory in microwave material science has been set up in this Department with financial assistance from MHRD, UGC, DST (Govt. of India) and DoE (Govt. of India). The Laboratory is equipped with sophisticated equipments like Agilent Network Analyser ET8714, LCR Meter, Tablet Dissolution Unit etc. Intrinsic properties of materials like conductivity, dielectric constants, band gap etc. can be tuned for microwave applications. Major areas of research work conducted in the laboratory are in the field of Microwave Imaging, Microwave materials etc.

Major topic of research include
  • Nanocomposites of Conducting Polymers like Polyaniline, Polypyrrole etc.
  • Characterisation of Synthetic Metals
  • Free Standing Thin Films of Polyaniline CSA m-crysol
  • Super Molecular Structure for Electromagnetic Sheilding
  • Conducting Polymer Antennas for Wideband Applications
  • Automatic Cavity Pertrubation Technique for S-band Applications
  • Dielectric Resonator Antennas
