Intelligent Machines and Systems Laboratory (IMSL)

Intelligent Machines and Systems Laboratory (IMSL) aims to work on state of the art tools, techniques and systems for the control of mobile and industrial robots. The areas of research span reconfigurable systems, underwater navigation & guidance systems, machine vision system, training & rehabilitation systems, vibration analysis, Human Machine Interface and distributed robotic systems. Our research concerns development of algorithms for the control and coordination of Multi-robot systems which include connectivity control and multi-robot task allocation for distributed robotic systems. Human Machine Interaction includes work on integration of touch, movement, vision and action for assistive robotic systems and robot systems for education. Other proposed activities include sensor agents which has cognitive skills for navigation, adaptation and learning. The laboratory is well equipped with necessary hardware/software platforms and support sub-systems for a broad spectrum of applications.
