Instituted as Cochin University Centre for Ocean Electronics (CUCENTOL) with active support from the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Govt. of India), Department of Electronics (Govt. of India), Department of Ocean Development (Govt. of India), University Grants Commission, etc.
